Green out for Capitals' game Saturday

Washington Capitals coach Adam Oates told the Washington Post that defenseman Mike Green will not play Saturday against the Winnipeg Jets due to a groin injury.

Green missed three games late last month with a groin injury but returned to play more than 21 minutes in the Capitals' back-to-back games against the Carolina Hurricanes on Feb. 26 and the Philadelphia Flyers on Feb. 27.

In 16 games this season, Green has two goals and five assists.

Quote of the Day

You can be hyped all you want, but his game will speak for itself. He's obviously going to be a great player so we've got to make sure we keep an eye on him. Whether it's his first game or his 1,000th game, our job is to take care of business, shut him down.
