Schneider starts, Booth returns for Canucks

The Vancouver Canucks will start Cory Schneider in goal and get another big addition to the lineup with the return of forward David Booth for Tuesday night's game against the Chicago Blackhawks.

Chicago will be looking to tie the NHL record by earning at least a point in 16 consecutive games to start the season, and Schneider, who gave up four goals and lost his previous start to the Dallas Stars on Feb. 15, will be looking to end the Blackhawks' streak.

Booth will be in the lineup for the first time this season. He had been on injured reserve with a groin injury. The 28-year-old scored 16 goals and had 29 points in 56 games last season for the Canucks after being acquired in a trade with the Florida Panthers.

With the exception of Manny Malhotra, who will miss the rest of the season, the Canucks now have a fully healthy roster after Ryan Kesler returned over the weekend.

Quote of the Day

Life's about opportunity and how you respond to that opportunity, and obviously he must have some swagger about him, some confidence about him, because he was solid. He made some good saves. He was 6-foot-3 on every shot, which is a good thing for a goalie. He played well. We got a win.
