Leafs use same lineup; Gunnarsson nears return

SUNRISE, Fla. -- Winners of five of their last six, the Toronto Maple Leafs will stick with the same lineup when they face the Florida Panthers Monday night.

The Leafs, however, could have defenseman Carl Gunnarsson back soon.

Gunnarsson, who has missed the last eight games because of a hip injury, took part in the morning skate.

"He's going to be an option for us very shortly," coach Randy Carlyle said. "We'll have to think that one through because we've got some people that have been performing fairly well for us. These are decisions that are tough ones but good ones for the organization going forward."

With James Riemer on injured reserve with a knee injury, Ben Scrivens will make his third consecutive start in net for the Maple Leafs. Scrivens is coming off his first career shutout, a 34-save effort in a 3-0 victory against the Ottawa Senators on Saturday night.

Here is the Maple Leafs' projected lineup for Monday night’s game against the Florida Panthers:

James van Riemsdyk - Tyler Bozak - Phil Kessel

Leo Komarov - Mikhail Grabovski - Nikolai Kulemin

Clarke MacArthur - Nazem Kadri - Colton Orr

Frazer McLaren - Jay McClement - Mike Brown

Dion Phaneuf - Korbinian Holzer

John-Michael Liles - Michael Kostka

Mark Fraser - Cody Franson

Ben Scrivens

Jussi Rynnas

Injured: G James Reimer (knee), D Carl Gunnarsson (hip), RW Matt Frattin (knee), RW LW Joffrey Lupul (forearm)

Scratches: D Mike Komisarek, C David Steckel
