The Detroit Red Wings have recalled goalie Jonas Gustavsson and assigned goalie Petr Mrazek to Grand Rapids of the American Hockey League, according to a report by MLive.com.

Gustavsson has played just one period in the NHL this season in relief of Jimmy Howard, stopping seven of eight shots. He had battled a groin injury and just finished a conditioning stint in Grand Rapids.

Mrazek made two starts for the Red Wings, going 1-1 with a 2.02 goals-against average and .922 save percentage.

For me, it's a great win for our hockey team and for a lot of people back in Columbus, especially our fans in particular … people who have been devoted to this organization, it's big.
