Canadiens, Lightning swap minor league goalies

The Montreal Canadiens and Tampa Bay Lightning pulled off a trade of minor league goalies Thursday.

The Canadiens acquired Dustin Tokarski and sent Cedrick Desjardins to the Lightning.

Tokarski, 23, was 18-8-4 for Syracuse of the American Hockey League this season with a 2.46 goals-against average and .900 save percentage. Last season, Tokarski helped the Norfolk Admirals post an AHL record 28-game winning streak during the regular season and then to the Calder Cup, going 12-2 in the postseason with a 1.46 GAA and three shutouts.

Tokarski has appeared in seven NHL games for the Lightning, going 1-3-1 with a 3.54 GAA.

Desjardins, 27, returns to the Tampa Bay organization, where he made his two NHL starts for the Lightning in the 2010-11 season. He won them both, stopping 61 of 63 shots for a .968 save percentage.

Desjardins was 7-13-2 for Hamilton of the AHL this season with a 2.94 GAA and .905 save percentage.
