Bruins sign Pandolfo to one-year deal

The Boston Bruins on Tuesday signed forward Jay Pandolfo to a one-year, two-way contract that will pay the veteran forward $600,000 if he plays in the NHL, $350,000 if he is in the AHL. The team also announced Pandolfo had been placed on waivers.

Pandolfo had been with the team on a professional tryout contract since Jan. 13.

Pandolfo, 38, had a goal, two assists and a minus-14 rating in 62 games with the New York Islanders last season. A Winchester, Mass., native, Pandolfo spent 13 of his first 14 NHL seasons with the New Jersey Devils, winning Stanley Cups in 2000 and 2003.

In 881 games, he has 100 goals and 126 assists, and 33 points in 131 Stanley Cup Playoff games.
