In 101 NHL games with the Red Wings, Boston Bruins, New York Islanders and Toronto Maple Leafs, MacDonald is 31-48-13 with two shutouts, a 3.04 GAA and .913 save percentage.

The Flames also placed forward Michael Cammalleri on injured reserve (retroactive to Feb. 5). The Calgary Sun is reporting Cammalleri his a hip pointer injury.
