Lubomir Visnovsky is officially an active member of the New York Islanders.

The team announced via its official Twitter account Thursday that it has lifted the suspension placed on the defenseman after his failure to report to the team.

Visnovsky was traded to the Islanders by the Anaheim Ducks last June for a second-round pick in the 2013 NHL Draft.

Visnovsky filed a grievance seeking to void the trade, but an arbitrator ruled against him. He spent time playing in the KHL during the lockout.

Visnovsky's agent previously said he was attending to personal matters and would report to the team by Feb. 11.
