Callahan to have MRI on injured shoulder

The New York Rangers announced team captain Ryan Callahan will have an MRI on his shoulder Wednesday afternoon.

Callahan appeared to injure his left arm during a third-period fight with the Philadelphia Flyers' Maxime Talbot during Tuesday's game. During the scuffle the players were yanking on each other and fell to the ice. When they got up, Callahan held his left arm close to his body and immediately skated off the ice.

"We were holding each other up and his shoulder popped out or something," Talbot told "It was unfortunate. I let him go. I kind of felt it, but then I saw his face as well."

Callahan scored his second goal of the season in the second period, and it held up as the game-winner in the Rangers' 2-1 victory.
