Drouin, MacKinnon combine for eight points in loss

Jonathan Drouin had three goals and an assist, and Nathan MacKinnon had four assists, but Halifax lost to Acadie-Bathurtst, 7-6 in overtime, in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League play on Saturday.

Drouin is the No. 2 skater in NHL Central Scouting's preliminary rankings of QMJHL players eligible for the 2013 NHL Draft. MacKinnon is No. 1.

Both players have been invited to Canada's selection camp for the World Junior Championship. Camp begins Monday for the tournament that starts Dec. 26 in Ufa, Russia.

Drouin has 47 points (18 goals) in 23 games. MacKinnon has 52 points (22 goals) in 29 games.

Patrik Zdrahal, who appeared on Central Scouting's preliminary watch list, had three goals and an assist for Acadie-Bathurst.
