Meurs replacing Rupert on Super Series Team OHL

Garrett Meurs, a 2011 fifth-round pick of the Colorado Avalanche, has been named to the Team OHL roster for Monday's Subway Super Series game in Sarnia, Ontario.

Meurs, a center currently playing for the Plymouth Whalers, is second on his team with 17 points in 19 games. He replaces London Knights forward Ryan Rupert, who is injured and unable to play.

Monday's game is the fourth of the six-game series, and the second between Team OHL and Team Russia. On Thursday, Team Russia scored a pair of third-period goals for a 2-1 win against Team OHL in Guelph, Ontario. Team Russia improved to 2-1-0 in the series with the win.

After Monday's game, Team Russia will take on Team WHL on Wednesday in Vancouver and Thursday in Victoria, B.C.
