The question of which team All-Star defenseman Ryan Suter will sign with won't be answered for at least another day.
According to a report from USA Today's Kevin Allen, Suter's agent, Neil Sheehy, said via email that the defenseman will not make a decision on Tuesday. There was no word as to when Suter might make up his mind whether to stay with the Nashville Predators or go to another club -- Detroit, Minnesota and Philadelphia are said to be the teams most interested in signing him.
Suter and Zach Parise are the two big names in this year's free-agent pool. Parise has also said he's going to take more time before making a decision about whether to stay with the New Jersey Devils or sign elsewhere.
For our team, as a group, we've never been this far before, and so it's just more lessons learned, and sometimes you have to go to the school of hard knocks to find out what works and what doesn't. We've got a young group. They've played some unreal hockey here to get us this far, and we showed if we're not going to play the proper way, a really, really good hockey team is going to beat you, and that's what they did. It's a lesson learned.
