The New York Islanders officially signed forward Eric Boulton on Monday, giving him a one-year contract for a reported $550,000.
The 35-year-old Boulton played 51 games last year for the Devils and had 115 penalty minutes and nine fighting majors. He did not record a point.
In 600 career games, Boulton has 73 points and 1,265 penalty minutes.
Boulton signed a two-year contract with the Devils last summer, but the team bought out the final year of the deal.
