Overall, the 6-foot-3, 227-pound blueliner has appeared in 278 career NHL games including stints with St. Louis, Dallas and New York. He has 55 points (nine goals, 46 assists) and 149 penalty minutes.

The Vermilion, Alberta native was originally drafted by the Philadelphia Flyers in the first round (No. 27) of the 2001 NHL Entry Draft.

Quote of the Day

He is, in my opinion, one of the best defensemen in the NHL and continuing to grow. I think his game, from an offensive standpoint, he continues to drive our offense... I think there's still tremendous upside for Oliver.
