Report: 'Canes to waive Joslin

TSN is reporting the Carolina Hurricanes have placed defenseman Derek Joslin on unconditional waivers for buyout or termination of his contract.

The 25-year-old blueliner had two goals and two assists in 44 NHL games. He also played four AHL games with the Charlotte Checkers.

A 2005 fifth-round pick of the Sharks, Joslin has four goals and 12 assists in 114 NHL games with the Sharks and Hurricanes.

Quote of the Day

We have no doubt how he can play. You don't, with four teams that are left, you're not getting here without good goaltending. All great goalies left, and [Bishop] is a top-tier goaltender in this league and he's shown it.
