NHL 13 Prediction: Red Wings vs. Ducks

NHL 13 Prediction: Red Wings vs. Ducks, March 22, 10 ET on NHL Network

East meets West as the Detroit Red Wings travel to Anaheim to start off a four game road trip and face off against the streaking Ducks. The Ducks are 7-0-3 in their last ten games, and have won an impressive 13 straight games on home ice. Anaheim will be reeling after a big win against the powerhouse Blackhawks, and can move into a tie for the league lead with a win tonight.

Ducks’ Keys to the Game

Get it to Getzlaf Ryan Getzlaf is playing superbly at home, with seven goals and fifteen assists in his last 12 home games.

Set the Tone – Anaheim will host Detroit again on Sunday, so they should use this game to set a physical and offensive tone for both games.

Red Wings’ Keys to the Game

Bounce Back – The Red Wings need to shake off a 4-2 loss to Minnesota the other night, and after allowing 2 PP goals on just 3 chances, the PK needs to be a lot better.

Solve the Netminder – With both Viktor Fasth and Jonas Hiller playing well, it will be crucial for Detroit to get to the dirty areas, create screens and traffic, and ultimately put pucks in the net.
