Stoll on Kings' recent success, Dodger Stadium game

Los Angeles Kings forward Jarret Stoll joined NHL Live to discuss the upcoming 2014 Coors Light NHL Stadium Series and his experience playing in the Heritage Classic, a game where temperatures dipped to minus-25 Celsius.

When the Kings play the Anaheim Ducks at Dodger Stadium, it will obviously be different.

"We'll be a little bit warmer," Stoll said. "Palm trees and sand all over the place. It will be a fun experience to be a part of. We have a great rivalry [with the Ducks]. We feel we're both good teams -- we're winning. They're having a great season. It's going to be fun, very interesting. Having it at Dodger Stadium too is pretty interesting and cool and historic in its own right."

Former Ducks goalie Guy Hebert talks Stadium Series

Former Anaheim Ducks goaltender Guy Hebert joined NHL Live to discuss the upcoming 2014 Coors Light NHL Stadium Series at Dodger Stadium. Hebert never thought that hockey would ever be played on a stage as big as Dodger Stadium.

"I'm not going to be able to play in it, but I'm certainly going to be in the stands watching it," Hebert said. "It's really been the talk of the town. It does get actually get a little big cold on here; I think my blood has thinned a little bit. Honestly, it's going to be a great atmosphere. It's at historic Dodger Stadium with a lot of its history and tradition. We think it's going to be one in a million. Who would have thought this could be a reality? The best part of it is it's not going to be a roller hockey game."

Daneyko's Hart Trophy candidates on NHL Live

It's Monday and NHL Live, at 5 p.m. ET on NHL Network will fill you in on what to watch for "This Week in the NHL," including the Wednesday Night Rivalry matchup between Sidney Crosby and Alex Ovechkin. Three-time Stanley Cup Champion Ken Daneyko is filling in for EJ Hradek for the next two days and will give us his Hart Trophy candidates as we've already reached the quarter mark of the NHL season. We'll also get you ready for the three games on Monday's schedule, along with a live report from our PIttsburgh arena cam.

We've got three games on the schedule, and Monday marks the return of Carolina Hurricanes goalie Cam Ward as they host the Boston Bruins in Raleigh. Ward has missed the past 10 games with a lower-body injury, but his team looks to build on its 4-1-1 run in the last six. They've also won five or their last seven matchups against the Bruins. Plus, Hurricanes center Jordan Staal will play in his 500th NHL game. We'll fire up the NHL Arena Cam with a look at warmups and a preview of the game at PNC Arena, where Carolina is 4-0-1 in its past five.

The NHL announced Monday a seven-part series, "NHL Revealed: A Season Like No Other" that will begin in mid-January on NBCSN and CBC. We'll be joined in studio by executive producer Ross Greenburg (former HBO Sports president) to learn more about the all-access series.

Sabres coach Ted Nolan talks recent developments

Buffalo Sabres interim coach Ted Nolan joined NHL Live on Thursday to share a story about how he learned he was headed back to the place he began his coaching career in the League.

Nolan had a trip planned to New York this week to watch his son, Los Angeles Kings forward Jordan Nolan, compete against the New York Islanders, New Jersey Devils and New York Rangers. He placed a call to his friend Pat LaFontaine to inquire if he had any connections for tickets to a Broadway show.
