Cisco NHL Live to reveal Hobey Baker winner

In a special Cisco NHL Live at 5 p.m. ET Friday on NHL Network with Steve Mears and Butch Goring, we'll have the live announcement of the Hobey Baker Award winner between Boston College's Johnny Gaudreau, Quinnipiac's Eric Hartzell and St. Cloud State's Drew LeBlanc. We'll also get a preview of the NCAA championship game from NHL Network analyst Barry Melrose live in Pittsburgh.

The Montreal Canadiens became the latest team to punch their ticket to the Stanley Cup Playoffs; we'll talk to Canadiens captain Brian Gionta. On the ice, two Central Division rivals square off on NHL Network at 8:30 p.m., as the Detroit Red Wings visit the Chicago Blackhawks. We'll have this game covered as we talk to Eddie Olczyk via the Cisco NHL Arena Cam in Chicago. We'll also get live pregame previews in New Jersey for the Devils-Senators and Columbus for the Blues-Blue Jackets.

Cisco NHL Live talks You Can Play Project

The National Hockey League and NHL Players' Association announced a historic partnership with the You Can Play Project on Thursday and Cisco NHL Live, at 5 p.m. ET on NHL Network, will have NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman and founder of the You Can Play Project, Patrick Burke, on set to discuss this partnership.

The Phoenix Coyotes are back in the Stanley Cup Playoff picture thanks to goalie Mike Smith, who has stopped 93 of the 95 shots he has faced since returning from injury. We'll be joined by the Phoenix netminder. With nine games on the schedule Thursday night, Steve Mears and guest analyst Ken Daneyko will get live pre-game previews from our Cisco NHL Arena Cam in Boston, Detroit and give you a live look-in at warm-ups of the early games in our Ice Pass.

Gaborik, Capuano among guests on Cisco NHL Live

Wednesday is Rivalry Night in the NHL and Cisco NHL Live, at 5 p.m. ET on NHL Network, with Steve Mears and E.J. Hradek, will have the New Jersey Devils' game against the Boston Bruins covered. We'll talk to NBC Sports analyst Pierre McGuire, who will be Inside the Glass, and we'll get the X-Factor for the matchup from NHL Network analyst Barry Melrose.

The Columbus Blue Jackets are trying to make the Stanley Cup Playoffs for just the second time in franchise history, and we'll talk to recently acquired forward Marian Gaborik about his transition. In the Eastern Conference, the New York Islanders continue their march toward their first playoff berth since the 2006-07 season, and coach Jack Capuano will join the show. Our Subway Fresh Face is Quinnipiac goalie Eric Hartzell and we'll talk to his coach Rand Pecknold about his Hobey Baker chances, and his team's upcoming battle with St. Cloud State at the Frozen Four.

Cisco NHL Live updates push toward the playoffs

The push toward the Stanley Cup Playoffs continues, and Cisco NHL Live with Steve Mears and EJ Hradek, at 5 p.m. ET on NHL Network, will get you up to date on playoff implications around the NHL. With nine games on the ice tonight we'll also give you a look at pre-game skates of the early games in our Ice Pass, and discuss each one rapidly in Slapshots.

We'll get live pre-game updates from our Cisco NHL Arena Cam in Columbus with Aaron Portzline of The Columbus Dispatch, as the Columbus Blue Jackets and San Jose Sharks face off. In the Eastern Conference, the red-hot Washington Capitals play the Montreal Canadiens and we'll check in with Arpon Basu, Managing Editor of LNH.com for the preview. We'll also head out to Minnesota with the Minneapolis Star Tribune's Michael Russo as the Minnesota Wild and Chicago Blackhawks square off in a Western Conference clash. Hitchcock, top prospect Drouin on Cisco NHL Live

Cisco NHL Live with Steve Mears and EJ Hradek, at 5 p.m. ET on the NHL Network, will get you caught up on what you missed this weekend and preview all five games Monday night. The Carolina Hurricanes and Boston Bruins face off on the NHL Network at 7 p.m. and we'll talk to Jordan Staal about the big matchup via our Cisco NHL Arena Cam.

Cisco NHL Live: Bishop, Kekalainen, Wilson

Today on Cisco NHL Live with Steve Mears and EJ Hradek we'll take a look at new faces who are already having a big impact, including Tampa Bay's new netminder Ben Bishop when he joins the show. We'll ask him how it feels to be the new guy in the locker room, and about his 45-save shutout debut.

Jarmo Kekalainen made the move for Marian Gaborik and it's already paying off. The Columbus GM will break down why he thinks his Jackets are playoff-bound for the second time in their history.

Plus, the Sharks have a few changes to their roster as they look to win seven in a row. San Jose GM Doug Wilson will fill us in on the recent run and the tough decisions he had to make at the trade deadline.

We'll visit Pittsburgh on the Cisco NHL Arena Cam where the Rangers try to repeat their success against the Penguins who have hit a skid without captain Sidney Crosby.
