Wild activate Clutterbuck, make goalie moves

Minnesota Wild forward Cal Clutterbuck was activated off injured reserve Friday, while the club placed goaltender Darcy Kuemper on IR and recalled goalie Matt Hackett from its American Hockey League affiliate in Houston.

Clutterbuck hasn't played since being injured in a Feb. 21 game against Edmonton, on a play in which Oilers forward Taylor Hall received a kneeing major and game misconduct, and later was suspended for two games. Clutterbuck has two goals and four points in 16 games this season.

Kuemper, 22, was recalled when Josh Harding had to be placed on IR due to symptoms from multiple sclerosis and made his NHL debut Feb. 12 in Vancouver. In four games (three starts), he is 1-2-0 with a 2.22 goals-against average and .924 save percentage.

Flyers send suspended Zolnierczyk to AHL

Philadelphia Flyers forward Harry Zolnierczyk, serving a four-game NHL suspension, has been sent to the team's American Hockey League affiliate, the Adirondack Phantoms.

Bruins hoping to add Swedish star Soderberg

The Boston Bruins are close to making themselves a better team -- and it may not be through the trade market, although GM Peter Chiarelli has not ruled that out either.

Thursday night, Chiarelli confirmed to the Boston Herald a report by TSN that the team is close to bringing Swedish star Carl Soderberg to the club.

The Bruins have owned Soderberg's rights since 2007 when his rights were acquired in a trade with St. Louis that landed the Blues goaltender Hannu Toivonen.
