GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) -Enver Lisin's 11-game banishment to the minors is fading into memory.

Lisin scored twice in a four-minute span of the third period to lift the Phoenix Coyotes over the Los Angeles Kings 4-2 on Tuesday night.

"For sure, when you get sent down it's not the greatest thing in your life," said Lisin, who went to San Antonio of the AHL at the end of October and was recalled on Nov. 21. "When you get back you're so excited. It's very big for me."

Shane Doan and Martin Hanzal also scored, and one-time backup Mikael Tellqvist made 32 saves for the Coyotes, who won for the third time in four games.

"He was as good as he's been again all year," Coyotes coach Wayne Gretzky said of his goalie. "He's just been solid. I know the players like playing in front of him and he's having fun."

Tellqvist has started three of four games and appeared in five of the Coyotes' last six.

"We're 21 guys doing the job," Tellqvist said. "As long as they keep it to the outside and let me make the first save, we're going to play well. Hopefully I'll get to play again on Thursday."

Alexander Frolov and Oscar Moller scored for the Kings, who have lost two straight.

"It's such a fine line in this league," Kings coach Terry Murray said. "It's one pass, one decision, one deflected puck, one power play, that is the difference."

Lisin pulled Phoenix even at 2-2 with a one-timer from between the circles with 15:54 to go. Kevin Porter sent the puck to Keith Yandle alone in the left circle, and Yandle found Lisin in the low slot for the shot into the open right side of the net.

Kyle Quincey had taken the original shot from the middle of the left circle.

Lisin struck again with 11:52 to go, taking a long outlet from Derek Morris two strides ahead of Kings defenseman Peter Harrold at the Los Angeles blue line and ripping a wrist shot from the left circle over Erik Ersberg.

"I just had the puck and tried to go hard to the net," Lisin said. "I saw he almost had me and I decided to shoot and got some luck."

Added Morris, "That was a beautiful shot. You want to get him in a foot race with their defenseman because I don't think many guys in the league know what kind of speed he's got yet."

Hanzal scored an empty-net goal on a backhanded clearing pass from 10 feet inside the Phoenix zone with 30.9 seconds to play.

Lisin's goals indirectly led to a 15-minute closed-door meeting for the Kings.

"Two games in a row we've blown a one-goal lead in the third," Los Angeles captain Dustin Brown said. "We fell asleep."

Frolov gave the Kings a 1-0 lead 4:59 in with the help of Phoenix defenseman David Hale. Hale had been checked off the puck behind the Coyotes net but recovered enough to attempt a backhanded clearing pass. The pass rolled onto Frolov's stick, and the Kings' leading scorer tucked it behind Tellqvist for his 10th goal.

Doan tied it at 6:41 when he redirected Ed Jovanovski's drive from the point past Ersberg for his team-leading 12th goal.

Moller snapped a 1-1 tie at 8:37 of the second period when he one-timed a long rebound from the high slot past Tellqvist for a power-play goal. It was his first score since he netted a pair of goals Nov. 1 against Calgary.

Notes: Frolov has five goals in six games. ... Ilya Bryzgalov, the Coyotes' presumptive starting goalie, was on the bench even though he has won five straight against the Kings. ... Despite being division rivals, the Kings and Coyotes met for the first time more than a quarter of the way into the season.
