TORONTO (AP) -After getting his first goal in an injury-plagued season that has limited him to eight games, Carlo Colaiacovo threw his arms skyward in celebration.
The Toronto-born defenseman scored the tiebreaking goal in the third period, Jason Blake added an insurance goal and the Maple Leafs didn't commit any penalties in a 4-2 victory over the Ottawa Senators on Saturday night.
"It feels special, it really does," Colaiacovo said. "The more special part is the win."
Dominic Moore and Jiri Tlusty also scored for Toronto, and Vesa Toskala stopped 19 shots.
"It was a strong effort by everybody," Colaiacovo said. "From the start of the game, we were a determined bunch.
"We weren't going to let anything get in our way. When they tied it early in the third, we were still up on our bench and we believed we were going to win this game. From the first minute to the last minute, it was just a heck of a game by all of us."
Toronto, which entered the game 28th in the league on the power play, was 1-for-6 with the man advantage.
Moore, claimed off waivers from Minnesota on Jan. 11, banged a rebound past Emery at 9:32 of the first period for his first goal in 10 games for the Leafs. Tlusty made it 2-0 when he beat Mike Fisher to a rebound and backhanded it in at 14:27 on a power play for his fifth goal of the season.
Foligno deflected in Randy Robitaille's pass out of a corner at 15:18 for his sixth of the season, and the Senators headed trailed 2-1 after one period despite being outshot 12-3.
"We had a bit of a tough start in the first period, and in the second we were undisciplined, took a lot of penalties and couldn't seem to get much momentum going at all throughout the whole game," Fisher said. "They deserved to win."

Neil converted a rebound of his own shot to tie the score at 1:32 of the third period. Toskala went down to stop his first shot, and with defensemen Hal Gill and Anton Stralman off in a corner and behind the net, Neil got the rebound, glided across the crease and slipped the puck into the open net for his sixth goal of the season.
Colaiacovo broke the tie at 4:28 when he rushed to the net to get a cross-crease pass from Robbie Earl and sent the puck into the open side of the net for his first goal of the season. Earl was appearing in his first NHL game, and got his first point.
Blake took advantage of some shoddy play by Richardson and fellow defenseman Joe Corvo to close the scoring. Blake, breaking to the net, took a pass from Matt Stajan and beat Emery with a wrist shot at 8:08.
Notes: Moore is the brother of former NHL player Steve Moore, who has not played since being hit in the head from behind by Todd Bertuzzi on March 8, 2004. ... Toronto was also without F Nik Antropov (suspension), RW Alex Steen (dislocated shoulder), LW Alexei Ponikarovsky (dislocated shoulder), LW Chad Kilger (personal reasons), F Mark Bell (broken orbital bone) and C John Pohl (sprained ankle). ... The Senators were missing C Daniel Alfredsson (hip flexor), RW Dany Heatley (dislocated shoulder) and RW Patrick Eaves (shoulder/neck).
