CHICAGO (AP) _ Stephane Robidas picked the right time to score his first goal with the Chicago Blackhawks.

Robidas, a low-scoring defenseman, scored with 19.5 seconds left in overtime to give the Blackhawks a 3-2 victory over the St. Louis Blues on Sunday.

He skated into the slot, took a pass from Brett McLean and beat Chris Osgood with a low shot one second after a St. Louis penalty for too many men on the ice expired.

The Blackhawks acquired Robidas from Dallas on Nov. 17 for defenseman Jon Klemm. Robidas has scored only one other goal this season, against Buffalo on Oct. 13. In 253 NHL games, he has 12 goals and 30 assists.

``I don't get a lot of chances to play on the power play,'' Robidas said. ``When you get a chance in a four-on-three late in the game, you want to go out there and prove to yourself and everyone you can do a job.

Robidas made sure he retrieved the game-winning puck.

``It took me a while,'' he said. ``It was good to get the win and the goal. I just jumped in the play. Brett McLean should get the credit for making a great play, I just shot it on net and it went in.''

McLean passed to Robidas after circling behind the net to cap a wild finish.

Kyle Calder's power-play goal with 1:28 left in regulation got the Blackhawks into overtime. He drove to the net and tucked a shot under Osgood after he slipped past Blues defenseman Eric Weinrich in the slot.

``I though (Weinrich) played a heck of a game, besides that play,'' St. Louis coach Joel Quenneville said.

Weinrich scored on a 45-foot shot with 2:54 left in the third to give the Blues a 2-1 lead. After a faceoff in the Chicago zone, Weinrich beat Craig Anderson after drifting in from the right point and firing through traffic.

``We had a 2-1 lead with two-and-half minutes left, maybe,'' Osgood said. ``We gave it away.''

Mark Bell also scored for the Blackhawks, who got 28 saves from Anderson and snapped a two-game losing streak.

Keith Tkachuk had the other Blues goal but it wasn't enough to keep St. Louis from dropping its second straight. Osgood made 27 saves.

St. Louis is 4-10-1-1 in its last 16 games,

Tkachuk opened the scoring with a power-play goal 5:45 into the first period. He beat Anderson from 10 feet after Pavol Demitra shoveled a quick pass from the side of the net.

Bell tied it 1-1 midway through the first when he fired a rebound of Nathan Dempsey's shot past Osgood. Bell carried the puck down left wing, dropped it to Dempsey and kept skating to the net.

Both Osgood and Anderson made tough saves in the scoreless second.

Osgood made a sprawling stick stop on Matt Ellison midway through the second. While stretched on the ice, Anderson stopped Tkachuk during a St. Louis power play.

Anderson remained sharp through the third, while Osgood was barely tested. Osgood was forced, however, to make a quick glove save on Tyler Arnason with just over seven minutes left in regulation.

In overtime, Anderson made a tough save on Blues defenseman Chris Pronger.
