Chara questionable for Bruins against Jets
Winnipeg Jets vs. Boston Bruins

JETS (0-0-0) at BRUINS (0-0-0)

Season series: The Boston Bruins and Winnipeg Jets split two games in 2014-15, with each team winning at home. Defenseman Dougie Hamilton (now with the Calgary Flames) scored in overtime for a 2-1 Bruins win on Nov. 28 at TD Garden. Michael Hutchinson made 30 saves to help the Jets defeat the Bruins 2-1 on Dec. 19 at MTS Centre.

Jets team scope: Winnipeg begins a four-game road trip in Boston. Two top prospects will make their NHL debut. Forward Nikolaj Ehlers, 19, the ninth pick in the 2014 NHL Draft, will skate on a line with center Mark Scheifele and left wing Mathieu Perreault, according to the Jets website. Nicolas Petan, a 20-year-old second-round pick (No. 43) by the Jets in 2013, will make his debut playing on the fourth line with rookie center Andrew Copp and veteran Chris Thorburn; the game will be the second of Copp's NHL career. Copp, Ehlers and Petan join Alexander Burmistrov as the Jets' four new forwards. Burmistrov played the past two seasons in the Kontinental Hockey League. Ondrej Pavelec is expected to start in goal.

Bruins team scope: Boston will play three games in five days at home to start the season. Captain Zdeno Chara (upper-body injury) could play, according to the Bruins website. Chara has practiced the past two days. Forwards Matt Beleskey, Jimmy Hayes, Joonas Kemppainen, Tyler Randell and Zac Rinaldo join defensemen Matt Irwin and Colin Miller as offseason additions. Defenseman Dennis Seidenberg (back) will miss the next six weeks. Center Seth Griffith is out with a knee injury sustained in training camp. Tuukka Rask is expected to start in goal.
