Bruins host Canadiens, aim for 13th straight win
Montréal Canadiens vs. Boston Bruins

CANADIENS (39-26-7) at BRUINS (49-17-5)

TV: NBCSN, RDS, TSN

Last 10: Montreal 5-5-0; Boston 10-0-0

Season series: This is the fourth and final game between the Montreal Canadiens and Boston Bruins. After losing the first two, the Bruins defeated the Canadiens 4-1 on March 12 at Bell Centre.

Big story: The Bruins' 12-game winning streak is the third longest in franchise history and two wins shy of the record 14-game streak set in the 1929-30 season. Back home after a three-game road trip, the Bruins host a Canadiens team looking to solidify its spot in the hunt for an Eastern Conference berth in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Montreal sits one point behind the second-place Tampa Bay Lightning in the Atlantic Division.

Team Scope:

Canadiens: Montreal will look to carry over momentum from its 4-3 win Saturday against the Toronto Maple Leafs. Coach Michel Therrien had the day off Sunday to consider who will start in goal for the first of a back-to-back set and decided to go with backup Peter Budaj, who has not played since a 4-1 loss to the Bruins on March 12.

Budaj is 4-2-0 with a 2.64 goals-against average and .911 save percentage in seven career games against Boston.

"It's a challenge not just for Peter but for all our players and we love giving our players a challenge," Therrien said. "One of the reasons Peter will be in net tonight is because we want to share the load among our goaltenders. We made the decision that Peter would be in action tonight."

Carey Price, who started the past four games, will likely play Tuesday against the Buffalo Sabres.

Bruins: Boston fell behind for the first time in seven games Saturday before rallying for a 4-2 win against the Phoenix Coyotes. A big part of the Bruins' winning streak has been the play of right wing Jarome Iginla, who continued his torrid March by scoring two goals to give him 11 during the winning streak. Iginla passed Johnny Bucyk for 25th on the NHL's all-time goal-scoring list with Nos. 557 and 558 of his career.

"It's been fun," Iginla said of the streak. "We go into each game with the same approach. We know a lot of teams are trying to end it too. We know how it is on the other side."

Who's hot: Canadiens defenseman P.K. Subban has 11 points (nine assists) in his past 11 games. Left wing Max Pacioretty has five points (one goal) in his past five. Center David Desharnais has six (one goal) in five. … Bruins goalie Tuukka Rask has allowed 11 goals for a 1.55 goals-against average over a personal seven-game winning streak. Defenseman Dougie Hamilton has four assists and a plus-6 rating in his past five games.

Injury report: Canadiens forward Lars Eller (lower body) is day-to-day and a game-time decision for Monday. Defenseman Josh Gorges (left-hand surgery) and forward Brandon Prust (upper body) are on injured reserve. … Bruins defensemen Adam McQuaid (strained quadriceps) and Dennis Seidenberg (right-knee surgery) are on IR.
