DUCKS (10-3-0) at BRUINS (7-4-0)
TV: NHLN-US, PRIME, NESN
Last 10: Anaheim 8-2-0; Boston 6-4-0
Big story: Anaheim's Teemu Selanne will have oral surgery after an injury sustained against the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday. He is the fourth Ducks forward to be sidelined on this eight-game road trip that began Oct. 22. Another forward, Dustin Penner, told the Orange County Register he plans to return from a concussion sustained Oct. 20.
Ducks: With all the injuries up front, center Nick Bonino has seen his time on ice rise from the 13-minute range to a season-high 19:25 Tuesday. This will be a homecoming for the former Boston University star, who has at least one point in four of his past five games.
The Ducks practiced at Agganis Arena on campus, and Bonino -- a member of the Terriers' 2009 NCAA championship team -- wore a BU jersey.
"It was pretty cool being able to go back there with the Ducks and skate on the ice and use the facility and see all the familiar faces," Bonino told the team website.
"It's fun to walk the streets and everything is so familiar there. It's like you haven't been gone. And it's pretty cool to be in Agganis and see the championship banner and stuff like that. Guys make fun of you for being back, because I had a smile on my face the whole day. But it was really cool to be back there and catch up with everyone, to see the rink again and see all the guys. It was really fun."
Bruins: This is the second back-to-back of the season for Boston, following a 3-2 road loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins with Tuukka Rask in goal.
Backup Chad Johnson made his only appearance of the season in the opener of the previous pair, defeating the Buffalo Sabres 5-2 on Oct. 23.
"We didn't play to our identity," Bruins coach Claude Julien told The Associated Press after the loss to the Penguins. "We didn't play a heavy game for two periods tonight. We had to play three periods like we did in the third and that wasn't the case."
The Bruins, who lost 4-3 to the New Jersey Devils at home on Saturday, will try to avoid losing three straight in regulation for the first time since dropping four in a row from March 10-15, 2012.
Who's hot: Getzlaf has four points in a three-game point streak. … Bruins forward Jarome Iginla has three goals and five assists, and forward Milan Lucic has three goals and four assists during five-game point streaks.
