Oilers seek revenge against Predators
Nashville Predators vs. Edmonton Oilers
PREDATORS (11-11-6) at OILERS (10-11-6)

TV: FS-Tennessee, SNET-West

Last 10:
Nashville 3-6-1; Edmonton 3-4-3

Season series: This is the second of three meetings. The Predators crushed the Oilers in the first matchup as Colin Wilson had a two-goal, four-point night in a 6-0 win on March 8.

Big story: Nashville will try to salvage something from what has been a terrible swing through Western Canada, while Edmonton needs to bounce back after a late collapse against Detroit.

Team Scope:

Predators:
Not much has gone right for Nashville since that blowout win against Edmonton. The Predators have lost a couple of key forwards to injury, but offense hasn't been the problem.

This five-game road trip began with a 4-0 win in Dallas, but the past two games have been losses to Vancouver and Calgary in which the Predators have allowed 13 goals.

"We're really not helping our goalies much," Predators center Mike Fisher told reporters after the loss in Calgary. “[We’re] not giving them a chance, so we've got to do a better job of that and play with the puck a little bit more, and want the puck."

Oilers: Edmonton was one period from really being on a roll, but three straight goals by the Red Wings put a halt to that. The Oilers scored a win in Chicago and a decisive victory in Colorado before earning a 2-0 lead on Detroit.

"It looked like we sat back and we were afraid to make plays," Edmonton forward Taylor Hall told the Oilers' website after the game. "When you have a 2-0 lead, you should be calm, you should be composed. ... We weren't that."

The Oilers now have six of their next eight games at home, which will either be a chance to make a playoff push or proof for general manager Steve Tambellini that his young team isn't ready for that level as the trade deadline nears in early April.

Who's hot: Gabriel Bourque has a goal in three straight contests and now leads Nashville with nine. ... Sam Gagner has four goals and an assist in the past three games Edmonton.

Injury report: Nashville won't have Wilson or Patric Hornqvist, who also scored in the win against Edmonton; both are out with upper-body injuries. Defenseman Hall Gill (lower body) is also out. Forward Paul Gaustad (upper body) is questionable. ... The Oilers will be without forward Eric Belanger (groin) and defenseman Andy Sutton (knee). Ryan Jones (illness) and Mark Fistric (elbow) are questionable.
