Preds set to finish trip at Anaheim
Nashville Predators vs. Anaheim Ducks
PREDATORS (41-22-8) at DUCKS (30-31-11)

TV
: FS-TN, PRIME (HD)

Last 10: Nashville 5-3-2; Anaheim 3-6-1.

Season Series: This is the fourth and final meeting between the teams. Nashville has won all three showdowns thus far.

Big Story: Sunday concludes Nashville's four-game road trip, which has seen the Predators earn at least a point in two of the first three contests (1-1-1). The Preds head down the freeway in Southern California after Saturday night's 4-2 loss at Los Angeles.

Team Scope:

Predators: Martin Erat erased a 1-0 deficit via the power play midway through the second period, but Dustin Penner, Dwight King and Kyle Clifford all scored in the third period as the Preds came up short against the Kings at the Staples Center. Nashville enters Sunday's action two points behind Detroit for the No. 4 seed after the Red Wings suffered an overtime loss at San Jose on Saturday night.

"We turned the puck over in the neutral and we didn't stop on the puck," Nashville coach Barry Trotz said. "We put it in the middle and they beat us to the net. They dumped the puck in the neutral zone (and) we lost a battle. They ended up scoring on both those goals. That can't happen. Those are the details that can't happen, especially when it's 2-1."

Ducks: It's been a "win-one, lose-one" type of month for Anaheim, which has all but cost the Ducks a chance at a playoff berth. Anaheim, which suffered a 4-2 loss on home ice to the Kings on Friday night, enter Sunday's action 11 points out of eighth place in the West with just 10 games remaining.

"We knew what we were up against," Ducks coach Bruce Boudreau said after Friday's loss. "We knew that L.A. had come out exactly the same way against Detroit the other day. We knew they had had three days off. We knew what to expect. There was no excuse for them coming and just dominating every battle like they did."

Who's Hot: Erat has 2 goals and 4 assists over his last three games. … Teemu Selanne, who leads Anaheim with 62 points, has 2 goals and 2 assists in his last three games.

Injury Report: Nashville defenseman Roman Josi is day-to-day with an upper-body injury, while Paul Gaustad (upper body) is doubtful. Neither was in uniform Saturday night.

Stat Pack: Ducks forward Andrew Cogliano appeared in his 400th consecutive game Friday night. He has never missed a game in his five-year career, which began in 2007-08 with the Edmonton Oilers. … Selanne has now reached the 60-point plateau 12 times in his career.

Puck Drop: "He kept us right there. The first period, we weren't even out there. It was a one-team hockey game. Our goalie played against everybody and gave us a chance." -- Ducks captain Ryan Getzlaf after Friday's 4-2 loss to Los Angeles
