Last 10: Calgary 5-4-1; Vancouver 7-3-0.

Season Series: This is the second of six meetings between the Northwest Division rivals. Vancouver cruised to a 5-1 victory against Calgary on Nov. 1 at Scotiabank Saddledome. Alexander Edler had a goal and two assists for the Canucks.

Big Story: Flames general manager Jay Feaster tried to put an end to any rumors surfacing about a possible deal involving captain Jarome Iginla. Arguably the most famous player in the history of the franchise, Iginla will not be traded -- at least that was the message Feaster conveyed Friday.

Iginla, 34, has 7 goals and 8 assists and a minus-7 rating in 25 games this season. He had three assists in Saturday night's 5-3 win against the Edmonton Oilers at Rexall Place.

"Jarome Iginla has not been asked to waive his no-trade, and Jarome Iginla has not demanded a trade or asked for a trade," Feaster said. "There is no list. There is no smoking gun. There is nobody on the grassy knoll.

"When it's a non-story, and we have to stand here and rebut it, the rebuttal becomes the story. It puts us in a position that I don’t know is fair to the organization. I know it is not fair to Jarome."

Team Scope:

Flames: After a rough start, Calgary is starting to turn things around. Saturday's victory was the third in the last four games for the Flames as they moved to within a game of the .500 mark. Olli Jokinen scored twice to help Calgary rally from a pair of deficits against the young and talented Oilers.

"We needed to get back to our game and play good defense against this team," Jokinen said. "They are probably the most skilled team in the National Hockey League. They have a lot of offense. If you try to play their style, you are going to lose 10-0."

Canucks: Vancouver failed to extend its win streak to five games Thursday night, as the Canucks suffered a 6-5 loss to the Nashville Predators at Rogers Arena. Vancouver held a 5-3 lead but couldn't seal the deal as Anders Lindback stopped 19 shots after the Canucks chased Pekka Rinne. Nashville also chased Vancouver's starting goaltender, as Cory Schneider allowed three goals on five shots in what was his seventh straight start.

"It was an entertaining game without a doubt, not the way we had drawn it up," Canucks coach Alain Vigneault said. "I liked everything about our game except for our penalty-killing, and obviously both our goaltenders would probably like to have a couple of those back."

Who's Hot: Flames forward Rene Bourque has 2 goals and an assist in his last two contests. … Canucks center Ryan Kesler has 3 goals and 4 assists over his last six games.

Injury Report: The Flames are likely to be without Alex Tanguay (shoulder), Scott Hannan (knee), David Moss (undisclosed), Anton Babchuk (hand) and Brett Carson (back). … Canucks winger Mason Raymond is close to returning after suffering a fractured vertebrae last spring. Sami Salo (sore groin) and Andrew Ebbett (foot) are also nursing injuries.

Stat Pack: Saturday marked the first multi-goal game for Jokinen since March 14, 2009. With the win, the Flames have won seven in a row and 16 of their last 18 against Edmonton. … Canucks forward Aaron Volpatti scored his first goal since Dec. 20, 2010 on Thursday.

Puck Drop: "I thought we were going to get a beating. Fortunately we took a timeout and calmed down and came right back with a goal on the power play and got our feet back into us and back into it." -- Flames captain Jarome Iginla after Saturday's 5-3 win against Edmonton
