(Boston leads best-of-7 series 3-1)

Big story -- So the Flyers stave off elimination in Game 4. Can they repeat that performance in Games 5, 6 and 7? Well, in order to do so, they'll have to win two playoff games in Boston. Believe it or not, the Flyers haven't celebrated a playoff win in Boston since May 4, 1976. They did come close in the opening two games of this series, dropping a pair of one-goal decisions, including a 5-4 overtime loss in Game 1.

Team Scope

Flyers -- The return of wing Simon Gagne proved to be the difference in Game 4. Just 14 days removed from having two screws surgically implanted in his right foot, Gagne scored his first goal of this year's playoffs on his only shift of overtime to give the Flyers a 5-4 victory on Friday. Defenseman Matt Carle became the first Flyer to record four assists in a playoff game since former Philadelphia winger Mark Recchi did it in 2000 and Brian Boucher made 33 saves -- nine in OT -- in a game the Flyers never trailed after the first period.

Bruins -- Only two teams -- the 1942 Maple Leafs and 1975 New York Islanders -- have ever rallied from an 0-3 deficit -- and the Bruins would prefer not to have the 2010 Flyers join that list. Boston is 16-0 in series when leading 3-0, and despite the loss on Friday in Game 4, there was a lot to like about how the Bruins came back on two separate occasions to tie the game -- after falling behind 3-1 and 4-3. Recchi scored twice, including the goal that sent the game into overtime with just 31.5 seconds remaining in regulation. Recchi has 6 goals and 9 points in 10 playoff games this season and has 56 goals for his career. Tuukka Rask made 29 saves in a losing effort.

Who's hot -- Boston's Milan Lucic has been playing inspired hockey of late for the Bruins. He has a five-game points streak, notching 2 goals and 6 points over that span.

Injury report -- The Bruins are without forwards Marco Sturm (right ACL and MCL) and David Krejci (dislocated wrist) and defensemen Adam McQuaid (lower body) and Dennis Seidenberg (left forearm). For the Flyers, forwards Jeff Carter (right foot) and Ian Laperriere (brain contusion) and goalie Ray Emery (bone graft surgery) are out.

Stat pack -- The Flyers are now 5-4 in playoff elimination games decided in overtime -- the last previous triumph coming in Game 7 of the 2008 Eastern Conference Quarterfinals when Joffrey Lupul's goal beat the Capitals in Washington.

Puck drop -- "History shows it's a tough road (coming back from an 0-3 deficit), but we certainly feel good about the way we played," Flyers coach Peter Laviolette said. "We played good games in Boston. They could have gone either way. We felt like we heavily out-chanced them in Game 3 but didn't get the result we were looking for. You find yourself down, 3-0, there aren't many teams that have come back from that. So, the pressure when you win a game, after one game it shifts a little bit to them because they're supposed to close the deal. We're looking forward to the game, going to Boston and playing a really good hockey game and see if we can get it back to our building. The longer a series goes when you're up, and that's what the players were talking about, the more of a burden that becomes."
