GAME: Edmonton Oilers (23-24-8-1) at Minnesota Wild (19-21-15-2).

TIME: Friday, 8 p.m. EST.

The Edmonton Oilers look to match their season-high winning streak at four games when they visit the Minnesota Wild at Xcel Energy Center, where they've never lost in regulation.

Edmonton beat the Anaheim Mighty Ducks and St. Louis Blues before the All-Star break, then returned to action with a 4-1 win over the Atlanta Thrashers in a fight-filled contest at Rexall Place on Wednesday.

A wild brawl broke out late in the game, resulting in 164 of the game's 198 penalty minutes. All 12 players on the ice received fighting majors and 10 of them, including Edmonton goalie Ty Conklin, were given game misconducts.

Shawn Horcoff and Raffi Torres each had a goal and an assist for the Oilers, who won a season-high four in a row from Nov. 13-20.

"We came out of the (All-Star) break and played really well, moved the puck well and did a lot of things well," Oilers coach Craig MacTavish said. "A brawl like that always brings a team together.

"Everybody's leaving the rink feeling good about themselves tonight."

Edmonton is winless in its last four road games, but has had plenty of success in Minnesota.

The Oilers are 7-0-1-1 in their nine visits to Xcel Energy Center, and are 13-1-4-2 all-time against the Wild.

Minnesota also won its last two games before the All-Star break, but lost 3-1 at home to the Los Angeles Kings in its first game back on Tuesday.

The Wild, struggling to regain their playoff form from a year ago, missed a big chance to make up some crucial ground in the standings. Minnesota is tied with Edmonton for 10th place in the Western Conference.

"It's a tough loss, there's no doubt," Wild coach Jacques Lemaire said. "When you don't win the games you should, it gets more difficult, and this was a big game tonight. We weren't as sharp as we could be."
