GAME: Phoenix Coyotes (18-18-14-3) at San Jose Sharks (25-13-11-5).

TIME: Thursday, 10:30 p.m. EST.

The Pacific Division-leading San Jose Sharks look to extend their home winning streak to four games as they host the struggling Phoenix Coyotes.

San Jose bounced back from a pair of tough road losses - 2-1 at Dallas on Friday and 3-2 in overtime at Nashville on Saturday - by winning its third straight at home in Tuesday's 3-0 victory over Florida.

Evgeni Nabokov stopped 26 shots to help San Jose avoid its first three-game losing streak of the season. Nils Ekman, Alyn McCauley and Marco Sturm scored for the Sharks, who have a three-point lead over second-place Dallas in the Pacific.

San Jose would like to extend that lead prior to the All-Star break, especially with the Stars idle Thursday.

"It's the last game before the break and we have a long road trip after that," said Sharks forward Scott Thornton. "Obviously we'd like to come up big. We should be pretty fired up."

Phoenix suffered a 5-4 overtime loss to Florida on Wednesday night at Glendale Arena. The Coyotes are a dismal 2-6-2-2 since moving into their new facility on Dec. 27, and Phoenix's 8-11-4-2 overall home record is the worst in the Western Conference.

"It was an absolute collapse," said forward Daniel Cleary after the Coyotes squandered a 4-2 lead Wednesday. "At this level, in this stage of the season, it doesn't happen. We're not a good enough team to give up points like that."
