Ron Wilson
Head Coach

Ron Wilson was introduced as the 27th head coach in Toronto Maple Leafs history on June 10, 2008. Wilson had previously been the head coach for the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim (1993-1997), Washington Capitals (1997-2002), and San Jose Sharks (2002-2008). During Wilson's tenure, the Sharks were the only NHL team to win at least one playoff round in each of his final four years in San Jose. ...more

Assistant Coach


Keith Acton has served seven seasons as an assistant coach with the Toronto Maple Leafs. Acton, 50, was named an assistant coach on August 4, 2000 after he spent the previous two seasons as an assistant coach with the New York Rangers. Prior to that he was an assistant/associate coach with the Philadelphia Flyers four seasons.The Stouffville, Ontario native played 15 seasons in the National Hockey League prior to joining the coaching ranks. ...more

Dallas Eakins, a Dade City, Florida native was originally drafted by the Washington Capitals in the 10th round, 208th overall, in the 1985 NHL Entry Draft. Tim Hunter was named an assistant coach of the Toronto Maple Leafs on July 22, 2008. Hunter worked  the past five seasons with Maple Leafs head coach Ron Wilson in San Jose.  In 2007-08, under the guidance of Wilson, Hunter and assistant coach Rob Zettler, the Sharks were very strong defensively, ranking first in NHL penalty killing (85.8%) and third in goals against average (2.28). ...more
