In conjunction with the Amateur Hockey Association of Illinois (AHAI), the Chicago Blackhawks will host the 2017 Illinois State High School Hockey Championships, presented by Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana Chevy Dealers, at the United Center on Friday, March 17. The Boys State Championship will feature New Trier Green squaring off against Providence Catholic at 7 p.m.
The Boys State Championship tilt will be streamed live on csnchicago.com with Judd Sirott and Steve Konroyd on the call and re-broadcast in high-definition on CSN on Sunday, March 19, at 4 p.m. March 17 at the United Center will feature a full day of action with the Illinois Girls' State Championship (Glenbrook vs. Loyola Academy, 3:30 p.m.), the Boys' Red Division State Championship (New Trier Green vs. Providence Catholic, 7:00 p.m.) and the Boys' Combined Division State Championship (Addison Trail/Willowbrook/Fenton/Montini High Schools vs. Glenbard, 9:15 p.m.).
This marks the 30th year that AHAI will host their State Championship at the United Center/Chicago Stadium. The 2016 title was won by New Trier Green in the Red Division, Buffalo Grove/Hersey/Wheeling High Schools in the Combined Division and Loyola Academy in the Girls' Division.
The first 10,000 fans to enter the building will receive Duncan Keith and Brent Seabrook bobblehead magnets presented by Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana Chevy Dealers.
